Izmir Kavram Vocational School of Higher Education (IKMYO) became the champion of the UNILIG Basketball Regional League organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation at Dokuz Eylül University. IKMYO, which reached the championship undefeated by winning all matches, was entitled to take part in the TÜSF Women’s Basketball Super League promotion competitions planned to be organized in April.

“We are proud to be a team that tasted the championship in our first year,” said Coach Cenk Yeşilada and continued his speech as follows:

“We had many athletes we had worked with before, but we also had players who joined us this year and had the opportunity to work with us for the first time. By working hard since the beginning of the year and acting with a complete team spirit, we have achieved this success by leaving the well-established universities of Izmir behind. I would like to thank everyone who supported us and believed in us, especially our Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Erkan Çelik and our School Director Prof. Dr. Derman Küçükaltan, and I am proud of my players.”
